A series of community events provide educational resources, empowering informed decisions to be good citizens of the Coast.
The Raven is live on location today as Marine Link Tours celebrates 30 years of runs along the BC coast, offering guided tours of the vessel, refreshments, and stories of the coast, from 10am to 3pm at Fisherman’s Wharf.
The M.V. Aurora Explorer is a 135-foot landing craft that delivers freight to a variety of types of sites - from forestry camps to private homes. The vessel has been delivering freight since 1991 and was adapted to include tourists 1993.
Also today, you can join the Discovery Passage Aquarium for a beach cleanup. They’re meeting at the shoreline access point at the intersection of the Old Island Highway and Maryland Road in south Campbell River. Things get underway at 1030am and they’ll be cleaning the beach until 12pm. Trash grabbers, gloves, and garbage bags will all be provided.
