Peninsula Co-op stations are holding a fundraiser to support the Help Fill a Dream Foundation on Tuesday.

The foundation has helped Island families with critically ill children for the last 36 years, making dreams come true and offering financial assistance where needed.

Peninsula Co-op is donating 5-cents from every litre of gas sold to the foundation.

Whether you need a top-up or a full tank, you'll also be eligible to win a weekend getaway worth $500.

The foundation makes over 20 dreams a year come true for Island children with life-threatening conditions - the first being Bernadette's, who was able to meet her grandparents in Nova Scotia.

Help Fill a Dream also offers families financial assistance to help with: travel costs associated with receiving health care; medical or therapeutic equipment to address special needs; and therapeutic resources.
