Comox Valley RCMP are investigating a fire at a car wash in Courtenay.

Early Wednesday morning, crews were called to the fire on the 300-block of Old Island Highway.

The Courtenay Fire Department brought the fire at Charlie’s Auto Wash under control, with no injuries being reported.

RCMP investigators from the Integrated Forensic Identification Section and Comox Valley Major Crime Unit did not locate any evidence to suggest the fire was intentionally set and it does not appear to be suspicious or criminal in nature at this time.

The Comox Valley RCMP would like to extend thanks to all of the first responders for their swift action and to the community for their cooperation during the incident.
