Comox Valley RCMP is seeking information from the public regarding a hit and run earlier this week.

Around 7am Monday morning, a frontline member of the Comox Valley RCMP was travelling on Comox Avenue, between Aitken Street and Manor Drive, when he came upon a victim who reported being struck by a large tandem dump truck while he was riding an e-bike.

Emergency Health Services transported the victim to hospital and patrols were made for the truck; however, it was not located. The truck was described as a grey dump truck that was towing a trailer.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

If you have any information that could help in identifying the driver of the dump truck, contact Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321.
