Canada's premiers have left their talks in Victoria frustrated they are not getting anywhere with Prime Minister Trudeau for talks on health care.
The premiers want the meeting to set out a framework with the federal government to work on the ailing health care system, plagued by staffing shortages, among other things.
Premier John Horgan, and several others, expressed frustration that the feds - namely Intergovernmental Affairs Minister, Dominic LeBlanc - discussed the issue in the media, without actually speaking to the premiers.
Horgan says health-care takes the biggest piece of the pie for provincial and territorial budgets and something more stable and long-term needs to be in place to "reimagine" Canada's health system.
He also says he understands that each province and territory has different needs - but it's nothing they're going to get across without first meeting with the Prime Minister.
The premiers have called on the feds to increase its share of health-care funding to 35 percent from the existing 22 percent.
