The province out with a statement, reminding British Columbians to get vaccinated with a bivalent COVID-19 booster.
The province says it's the most effective protection against the Omicron variants of COVID-19.
Since September 1st more than 1.6-million people have received a bivalent COVID-19 booster.
The National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) does not recommend a second bivalent booster dose for those who have already received one in the fall as they are still protected against COVID-19.
Updated NACI guidance on the need for further bivalent boosters is expected in the coming weeks.
For information on obtaining a second bivalent booster dose, visit Government of British Columbia.
