BC Hydro has further increased discharge from the Comox Dam from 45 cubic metres per second, to approximately 65m3/s.
That’s meant to control the reservoir level through this next series of storm events.
Officials are again reminding the public to stay away from the higher flows along all sections of the Puntledge River.
Ahead of the weekend, the Comox Lake Reservoir was 134.1 metres above sea level and is within normal range for this time of year.
Through November 18th, BC Hydro expects discharge will remain above 60 m3/s and may increase to as high as 90m3/s depending on actual inflows.
Temporary danger safety signage is in place along the river.
