Environment Canada has again issued rainfall and wind warnings for East Vancouver Island.
Total rainfall could near 50mm with potential for water pooling on roads, leaving travel to become more difficult in some areas, before things ease to a few showers early Wednesday.
A vigorous Pacific frontal system will move over the coast tonight into tomorrow. Steady rain will start this afternoon and intensify in the evening.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
Strong winds are also expected, near 70 km/h, gusting to 90-100 km/h.
