Starting today, the Old Island Highway between Comox Road and Puntledge Road will be closed overnight (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.), to allow for the installation of new sewer main as part of the Comox Road Sewer Project.

Detours will be in place: North bound via Comox Rd and Hwy 19A Bypass, and south bound via Ryan Rd/Hwy 19A Bypass.

To reach the Lewis Centre and the LINC Youth Centre from West Courtenay by vehicle, the City suggests you leave more time and take available detours including the 17th St Bridge.

Watch for schedule updates and get more info on closures at City of Courtenay or contact our recreation staff at 250-338-5371 or 250-338-1000..
