The Strathcona Regional District has provided an update from the on construction at Strathcona Gardens.
The SRD says during phase one work the temporary chemical room relocation has been completed, along with the watermain connection to the City.
Demolition of the northwest wing is in full swing, set to wrap up in the next couple of weeks, and excavation for the new aquatic centre is ongoing.
The pool and arenas remain open throughout construction.

The New Aquatic and Wellness Centre, scheduled to be completed by 2027, will include a new 8-lane 25 m pool, accessible therapy pool, hot pool, and leisure pool with a lazy river, climbing wall, and waterslide.
A new fitness and wellness centre with sauna and steam rooms will also be included in this phase along with renovated change rooms and administrative areas.
