A new podcast drops tomorrow, produced at 100.7 The Raven.

The "Remember" Podcast, produced with the support of Education without Borders, is hosted by Tchadas Leo, with the Raven’s Language and Cultural Department.

Leo says it’s a way to understand and remember the stories of our elders and ancestors and will cover a number of different topics.

Leo says it’s fitting the first episode drops Friday, on the Day for National Truth and Reconciliation.

This is the first episode of a series that explores the thoughts and memories of First Nations elders who come from Vancouver Island & the surrounding areas.

Leo and his team include topics ranging from happiest and unhappiest times growing up on the reserve, traditions taught by parents & speaking their mother tongue.

Funding for the podcast is provided in part by Education without Borders.

You can find it Friday, September 30th, wherever you get your podcasts.

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
