It is election day in Canada.

According to the preliminary figures, 7.3 million electors voted at the advance polls held over the four days of the Easter Weekend.

That’s a 25% increase from the 5.8 million electors who voted in advance in the 2021 general election.

If you haven’t voted yet, all the information you’ll need can be found at Elections BC.

Canadian citizens in British Columbia can vote at their assigned polling stations today from 7am to 7pm.

To find your polling station, check your voter information card or use Voter Information Service at Elections BC.

If you are not registered you can still register when you go to vote at your assigned polling station, just bring along identification that includes your photo, name, and current address.

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
