Tour De Rock Gets Underway This Weekend

The Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock 2024 is underway this weekend as law enforcement and emergency services personnel cycle 14 days & 1200 km across Vancouver Island.

They’re raising money for childhood cancer research & support services at the Canadian Cancer Society.

Donations are used to fund life-saving pediatric cancer research and caring support programs like Camp Goodtimes.

Among those taking part this year are Keeley Deley with Comox Valley RCMP and Chris Seeley from Campbell River.

The tour kicks off in Port Alice Saturday with several stops along the way - in Campbell River on Tuesday, and Courtenay and Comox on Wednesday.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Sept 21 - Port Alice
  • Sept 22 - Port Hardy, Port McNeill
  • Sept 23 - Woss, Sayward
  • Sept 24 - Campbell River
  • Sept 25 - Courtenay, Comox
  • Sept 26 - Cumberland, Union Bay, Qualicum Beach, Parksville
  • Sept 27 - Port Alberni
  • Sept 28 - Ucluelet
  • Sept 29 - Tofino, Nanaimo
  • Sept 30 - Nanaimo, Ladysmith
  • Oct 1 - Chemainus, Lake Cowichan, Duncan
  • Oct 2 - Shawnigan Lake, Mill Bay, Westshore, Sooke
  • Oct 3 - Oak Bay, Victoria, Sidney
  • Oct 4 - Esquimalt, Saanich, Victoria
