The Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock leaves this morning from Campbell River for a ride to Courtenay and Comox.
Today is day five of the 14 day trek across Vancouver Island, raising money for childhood cancer research and support services at the Canadian Cancer Society.
Tour de Rock remains determined to continue supporting children and families living with and beyond cancer.
Donations are being accepted and the team has raised more than $317 thousand on the way to a goal of $1 million.
Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Cops for Cancer are used to fund life-saving pediatric cancer research and caring support programs like Camp Goodtimes.
Arriving in Courtenay and Comox today, the team will visit Cumberland, Union Bay, Qualicum Beach, and Parksville tomorrow.

- Oct 1 - Chemainus, Lake Cowichan, Duncan
- Oct 2 - Shawnigan Lake, Mill Bay, Westshore, Sooke
- Oct 3 - Oak Bay, Victoria, Sidney
- Oct 4 - Esquimalt, Saanich, Victoria
