The riders taking part in this year’s Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock 2024 roll through Campbell River today.

Law enforcement and emergency services personnel are cycling 14 days and 1200 km across Vancouver Island to raise money for childhood cancer research and support services at the Canadian Cancer Society.

Among those taking part this year are Keeley Deley with Comox Valley RCMP, and Chris Seeley from Campbell River.

In fact, Deley is listed as one of the top fundraisers so far, with more than $27 thousand raised.

The goal is to raise $1-million, and the Tour is already at more than $313 thousand, just three days into the ride.

It started in Port Alice and the team is in Campbell River today, arriving from Sayward.
