The Town of Comox is receiving a big check towards the Lazo Road upgrade.
The town is receiving a $500,000 grant for the work.
It will be used to support a multi-use path, dedicated bike lanes with a painted buffer zone, and traffic-calming features on Lazo Road between Simba and Kye Bay Road.
This will complete the recent upgrades to Lazo Road and Knight Road by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure that added bike lanes to these roads.
This project is expected to be constructed in 2023.
