A transport truck fire snarled traffic on the Trans-Canada for several hours yesterday.
The highway was reduced to single-lane traffic in both directions after the incident at Split Rock Lookout, just south of Mill Bay, around 6 yesterday morning.
Patrick Fisher was driving by the scene of the incident this morning and captured the truck fire on his dashcam. Footage shows flames bursting out of the hood of the vehicle.
Several rucks were also lined up on the shoulder of the highway as he drove past.
The scene was cleared about four hours later.
The driver of the truck was not injured. RCMP says the fire appears to have been caused by a mechanical issue.
