Canada Post says it continues to wait for a formal response to proposals shared with CUPW through a mediator on Friday afternoon, as the postal strike drags on.
In a statement yesterday, Canada Post said its proposals include significant moves to close the gap on key issues like weekend delivery, pensions and wages to reach new agreements and get people back to work.
CUPW said Friday that it was waiting for negotiations to resume.
The postal strike, involving 55 thousand members, began on November 14th.
The business community has been urging government intervention, but so far the feds have said they are not stepping in.
The federal government has intervened in other high-profile labour disputes in the past, including the ports, when they used a controversial section of the law to get the labour board to order binding arbitration.
